






















Ayr Carrick Lawn Tennis Club -
1. Membership. The number of Members allowed to join the Club shall be decided by the General Committee.
(a) To join the Club as a JUNIOR MEMBER, individuals must have attained the age of 5 years by 1st January of the current year. Between ages of 5 and 8 the Junior member must be accompanied by an adult.
Junior hours of play are
Monday to Friday 10.00 am until 6.00 pm
Saturday From 10.00 am until 2.00 pm.
Sunday – no play.
Outwith these hours juniors may play on courts 3 and 4 only (within normal senior hours) if no senior members are waiting.
(b) To join the Club as an INTERMEDIATE MEMBER, individuals must have attained the age of 16 years by 1st January of the current year.
(c) To join the Club as a SENIOR MEMBER, individuals must have attained the age of 18 years by 1st January of the current year.
(d) To join the club as a COUNTRY MEMBER, an individual’s permanent address must be outwith 25 miles of the club
(e) To join the club as a CHILD ACCOMPANIED PARENT, the parent must only attend with his/her own child. The child must be a paid up Junior Member.
Intermediate and Senior hours of play are as follows
Monday to Saturday 10.00 am until dusk (or 9.30 pm under lights)
Sunday 2.00 pm until dusk (or 9.30 pm under lights)
We rely on certain householders in Ballantine Drive for the continued use of the courts. Therefore any Member found to be using the courts on a Sunday morning will, in the first instance, be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action.
2. When the maximum number of Members has been attained, all further applicants shall be placed on the waiting list by the General Committee and shall be admited to the club in strict rotation as vacancies occur. The General Committee shall pass, place on the waiting list or reject applications for Ordinary Membership.
3. Applicants whose names are passed will receive intimation from the Secretary and their Subscriptions must be paid by 30th April, or after that date within ten days from the date of the Secretary's intimation. Applicants placed on the waiting list shall be informed of this and notified when a vacancy occurs.
4. For identification purposes, all Members should carry their Membership Cards with them at all times. (In case they are asked to produce them).
5. Resignations must be made in writing to the Secretary. No Member who resigns, or whose suspension is upheld, shall receive any rebate on their Subscription.

Senior and Intermediate Visitors' fees £2.00
Junior Visitors' fees £1.00
A Senior player from another Ayrshire club may attend as a visitor free of charge, within the conditions set out in section 7 (see above)
8. During the Tennis Season no games other than Tennis and Table Tennis shall be played on the Club property, unless by special permission of the General Committee.
9. Heel-
10. The Senior Official and Committee Members present shall be responsible for the enforcement of the Rules and Regulations of the Club and for deciding whether or not the Courts are fit for play.
11. The General Committee shall have power to reserve Courts for Matches, Team practice, etc. at any time.
12. Arranged sets of singles and doubles can be played before 6.30 pm on weekdays and after 5.00 pm on Saturdays, the period of play to be 30 minutes.
13. No singles shall be continued after 6.30 pm or in the case of Junior Members after 4.00 pm on weekdays if other players are ready to play.
14. Booking Arrangement -
15. If balls are hit over the fence and on to the railway lines they must be left. AT NO TIME SHOULD ANY PLAYER EVEN THINK OF ATTEMPTING TO RETRIEVE THEM.
16. There are bags in the clubhouse containing balls for use by Junior Members. At no time should they take Tennis balls from the Senior cupboard. All members should bring the tennis balls off the Tennis Courts when they finish playing, unless otherwise instructed.
17. All Intermediate and Senior Members are responsible for the maintenance of the Courts (ie brushing and watering). Junior members from the age of 13 years and over may assist in brushing the Courts.
18. The last person to leave the premises should ensure that all doors are securely locked and that lights, electrical items and taps are turned off.
